Live piano compositions
Samuel Hamish Gray’s solo piano work unfolds entirely in the moment: spontaneous compositions shaped by place, memory, and restraint. His music moves between contemporary classical, improvisation, and lyricism, drawing on influences from Scandinavia (where he lived in Norway for eight years), Southern Hemisphere landscapes, and his background as a percussionist and rock guitarist.
Recent releases include Sirius (The Dog Star) (2025), a reflective piano suite, and Miniatures (2026), a cycle of thirteen self-contained piano pieces, each lasting exactly ninety seconds. A further solo piano album, Norgesvenn, exploring distance, belonging, and Nordic atmospheres, will follow later in 2026.
Samuel has performed internationally in cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Oslo, Warsaw, Wellington, and Sydney.
His music is available on all major streaming platforms, with raw live piano performances and visual works released in parallel on YouTube and Instagram.
